Dr. Nelson received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University and her doctorate in 2000 from Logan College of Chiropractic outside St. Louis, MO. She is the proud mother of four very active and unpredictable boys. Still, she has always enjoyed playing sports and still finds time to play volleyball, snowboard, and teach aerobic/strength classes.
She is grateful to be able to use natural principles of healing to help new patients seeking immediate relief at the onset of injury, thereby enabling them to return to work/sports promptly. It is also very fulfilling for her to continue wellness care for her decades-long patients who have become like family. Her mission statement has always been to honor the Latin root of "Doctor", which is "teacher". She feels that patients who understand true HEALTHCARE and learn how to achieve it for themselves is the ultimate mission. Her goal is that every clinical encounter results in a patient who leaves better than the way they walked in.
Dr. Mike is a chiropractor specializing in sports injuries and chronic pain. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University. Dr. Mike utilizes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies, and home care exercises to reach maximum effectiveness. In his free time he enjoys attending sporting events, meeting up with friends, and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
Our walk-in service allows you to be seen without an appointment; patients are seen in the order they present. However, if you have made an online appointment, you will have that appointment time reserved. If you are new, you will fill out a brief patient intake form, then you will get help from one of our doctors.
The Doctors will evaluate your condition, take x-rays if clinically indicated, and perform specific Chiropractic adjustments to your body. If appropriate, other modalities may be used to help your body heal such as:
Payment is appreciated at time of service via Flex Spending card, credit/debit cards, check or cash. A superbill (receipt with diagnostic and procedural codes) will be provided for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement consideration directly to you or for Flex Spending Account/Health Savings Account verification. You will be advised on appropriate at-home care and follow-up treatment. If you have been referred here by your current DC, and additional treatment will be necessary, we will forward all exam notes and x-rays to that office for you.
